As per the website, the most popular side effect was short term illness with several commenting that the product gave their dog bloody diarrhea and even resulting in hospitalisation. Nexgard has faced similar backlash being rated a 1.6 stars on productreview.com. Approximately 75% of the people who reviewed this product (624), gave  it a 1 star rating. Like its apparent more modern and healthier counterpart, Nexgard has also faced complaints that it has killed their dog and or impaired them for life. Symptoms like diarrhea, seizures and paralysis can be seen throughout these reviews also. One reviewer by the name of Vicky stated

“My dog was fine this morning, until after he ate his food... which contained the Nexguard chewable. A few hours later, he wouldn't come down the steps to go outside. I went up to check on him and he was shaking and his nose was dripping. He could barely walk!”

Another reviewer by the name of Lou mentioned the side effects of this product

“Gave Nexguard to my pup with dinner, next morning she couldn’t move and spent a week at the vet- vomiting, bloody runny stools, lethargy, foaming, temperature, not eating, panting...still has relapses. It’s POISON!”

Facebook Group

There is a facebook group by the name of ‘Does Nexgard Kill Dogs?’. This facebook group has amassed over twelve thousand members. There is a link within this facebook group to another group that is taking legal action against Nexgard in Canada. This group has over 140 members. Under this shared link people have posted comments such as My poor old German Shepherd had a stroke and lost most of his sight after his first (and last) Nexgard dose” and “Long overdue. Hopefully this(/these) poison(s) will be removed from the market.”

A woman by the name of Kristin Noneman posted a montage of her dog Rowan with the hashtag #RowansNexgardStory.

Nexgard Spectra’s Response

Nexgard has responded to these accusations saying that the negative side effects listed above and more were “uncommonly observed” and that less than 1 out of 10,000 dogs experienced these negative side effects

Conclusion

There is enough stir about this online for those who work at Nexgard to notice. We want an honest answer. Why are our dogs dying? Why haven't you aimed to change anything? What I’ve also noticed (this is not an accusation but simply an observation), all the companies that sell Nexgard and Nexgard Spectra only include its 5 star reviews on their website. There are literally thousands of people online that have had issues with this product and you’re telling me that companies like PetStock only have 5 star reviews?

I speak on behalf of all the people who have lost their dog to Nexgard and their toxic products - give us answers now!
